Movie review - Hind Ka Napak Ko Jawab

I see many movies and my weekends are usually reserved for watching them. I have been reading a lot about the famous actor Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan especially on twitter. What caught my interest was that he has created a world record for having done 43 credits like director, art director, fight director etc. After reading so much I decided to watch his upcoming movie “Hind ka Napak Ko Jawab”. He dedicates this movie to the army, in his own words “We owe so much to the Indian Army. They are the reason we sleep peacefully at night.” So let us see how the movie fares.

The Beginning with Surgical Strikes
This movie has been directed by Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim ji Insan and His daughter Honeypreet Insan. Together they have done a respectable job. The Hero of the story is a character called Sher-e-Hind who is a patriotic person. The movie unravels the surgical strikes conducted by India on Pakistan and captures the essence very well, but that is only the beginning. The real adventure starts when the hero takes on a very hard and top secret mission. He moves to the enemy nation and without uncovering his true identity works towards fulfilling the mission.

Romance
The hero meets his soul mate in the enemy nation and marries her, I think there is a very strong message here that true love knows no boundaries. Despite belonging to the rival nation, he chooses to marry her. The song “Ye Jana Tujhe Paa Ke” is beautifully shot on the hero and heroine and is every lover’s dream. It is extremely romantic and soulfully sung, I liked the choreography of this song a lot.

Social Messages
As the storyline proceeds, we also get to see some strong messages for the fairer gender- to respect them, and for the fair gender themselves to be strong. Our society needs to see this and understand this. I, being a woman myself, appreciate this a lot. Actress Honeypreet insan shows her stronger side in the movie and can be seen kicking the butts of the villains. The movie also touches upon the issue of liberation of Baluchistan. Overall, the movie shows Indians can accept others with open arms, can be friendly for all, will show love to all, but will fiercely protect their motherland against any threat. That for me is the biggest reason to watch this movie.

Some Fancy High Tech Stuff
There are gadgets, super fancy flying bikes, and a chopper cum car, that is some serious advanced technology that I hope someday we can see coming to reality. They are certainly a treat to the eyes and kids will love this superhero stuff. The hero not only adds hi-tech glamour to the movie by using high end gizmos, but also delivers dialogues with great conviction. You feel the punch when he talks. You love it when he beats the hell out of the goons. You absolutely adore it when he does the on-screen romance.

Some amazing and surprising facts
I must praise the villains too who bear an uncanny resemblance to well-known terror faces. Many actors are fresh faces and have done justice to their roles. Music is exemplary and has been appreciated by the listeners a lot. Check out the sets in the song, do you know that these are made in a small city of Haryana, Sirsa? I was almost shocked to know that, seriously, I think this person has converted the impossible to possible. Want to know more? Then here you go- some of these actors are real life doctors, teachers, students and that too in Sirsa itself. Still want to know more, then I would say you plan a trip to Sirsa, like I am planning to.

My Verdict
This movie is quite different from all other movies, it is an entertainer and worth the penny. After watching the movie I left the theatre thinking about so many points, this movie has given me enough food for thought and has given me a direction at a very personal level as well. I am glad to see a non-stereotyped movie coming up with such subjects. I would recommend this movie, you need to see it, you need to think through it and you need to capture the essence with open mind.

Thank U For That

“Thank you” – An expression of gratitude, a very small and simple word that has immense power in it.

A simple thanks for a small act of kindness makes us feel good and at times, loved. When we get thanked we feel that our life has some meaning. It is a fact that most of us feel bad when we don’t even get acknowledged in return for good deeds done for others. Our brains store that memory as a negative memory and we pledge somewhere inside of us not to help that person again. In short, this simple word has the power to make us decide our future actions and build relations.

So why am I talking about it? Quite recently I heard a song trending on Youtube and Twitter- “Thank U For That”. It got me thinking somewhere deep inside, so I opened it in youtube and heard it since I was especially keen on knowing who and why the protagonist was thanking? So this write up of mine is the chain of thoughts that initiated on watching and hearing this song.

Audio and Visual Impressions
The song opens up with the protagonist sitting on a guitar that appears to slide down from the sky. The hero himself has a flame throwing guitar and gets down on a set with heart shaped designs and dancers surrounding him. The set is impressive but what I liked even more was the complete transformative get up of the hero. You need to check out the dresses (that fit perfectly well on his frame, the physique is just right). He is wearing some stylish shirts, trench coats, high-low hemline shirts, now all this is really making me have a second look at my own wardrobe. Shout out to all the guys out there, you now have more styles than ever, check out this song and make some changes to your dressing style.
Talking about the voice, it has a soft huskiness to it that is kind of soothing to the ears and at the same time, is powerful enough to not get drowned in the beats and music. It holds on to its identity and does justice to both high and low notes equally. There is this signature step that the hero and dancers repeat every time the phrase “Thank You for that” comes.

Now comes my favourite part- The sets. The song has been filmed on sets that have been painstakingly made and all the hard work put into it is actually visible. I talked about the first set earlier, the second one is my favourite, and it is some sort of a pool impression such that there are impressions of waves but no actual waves. The dancers are doing their act lying down on skates and the hero is on a two wheel self-balancing smart scooter. I think this particular set is really creative and eye catching at the same time. The other sets, to me, look like the upper deck of a cruise ship with swimming pool and party going on.

Over all, the song has a visual appeal, it is colorful (I love colours a lot), bright, playful, peppy and to me, a good dance number as well. You certainly cannot miss out on the style quotient of the hero, as it is evident throughout the video.

Lyrics
This is the part that had me thinking the most. “You chose me, thank you for that; you Love me, Thank you for that”. The lyrics go well for a romantic dance number, this was my first thought. But wait for the next paragraph. “Dedi, power tu de di, power di aisi yaar; Udaun main, vairiyon ke parkhachhe, teri power se yaar” – You gave me a great power, I use that power to beat the hell out of hoodlums. After hearing this, I actually had to study the background of the lyricist. In this song, Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh ji Insan (the Hero) Himself is the lyricist, music composer and singer (I think it is sheer genius for any person to do all of this). So basically, our hero here is thanking Almighty for loving him, choosing him for bestowing His powers that our Hero uses to safeguard the society from the goons.

Well, I like the perspective of thanking Almighty through a peppy rocking dance number. And why not? Overall I find this concept quite cool. This also makes me imagine that God would love any musical form and any song, provided it is sung with the right intention. Did I go a little too far with this one? Well it is just an honest view.

My Takeaways
Fitness- Now really, this tops my list of takeaways. The hero here is touching fifties, is already a grandfather in real life but who can say that? He looks absolutely fit and I for certain lack that in myself. I need to start with my exercise routines.
Dress up stylishly: I just cannot take my eyes off the dresses of hero. They are really cool and fun to wear. I have just got some major inspiration for my next dresses. You know women love dressing themselves up and I am no exception.
Thank the Almighty in any way you want. I believe He hears you whenever you call Him. God can understand the language of love, no matter what language you use to convey that. He has given a great life to you, you can achieve anything you want to, so thank Him for that. God, I Thank U for That.

Overall, I appreciate the efforts that have gone into this song and certainly would love to see more of such songs. Have you watched this song? What are you thankful for today? What are your views and takeaways on this? Please share in the comments below and I would love to read them.

The Valentine's Classifications

Hello Readers

It is the month of February and for most of us, the beginning of February brings with it the excitement of Valentine’s day, isn’t it? All across the world, Valentine’s day is symbolic to the celebration of love, care and companionship. The receding winters, golden sunshine and blooming roses add to the charm.

I have noticed that In India this day has garnered a lot of attention over the last decade, especially amongst the youngsters. It was only in the year 2000, when I started pursuing my Btech that I first heard about it, but today if you ask a primary class child he will be aware of it. Believe me or not, everybody has some or the other plans for celebrating this day in their own way. Below is my fun list of how various categories of people celebrate it, please note this is based on my personal observation. So here goes my list:

Newly married & Engaged (not married)
Now this is the most passionate group of people and 14th February is more like a judgment day where each person goes on to prove their love for each other. Gifts and cards with passionate wordings, chocolates and roses are a must give. This feels like a festival to them where they celebrate their freshly started relationship.

 Happily married 💖 since long
Interesting group and my favourite too. For this category of couples, having each other is a reason to feel good each day and valentine’s day holds little or no significance. Anyways, I do like it a lot when aged husband lovingly gives a rose to his beloved wife, who blossoms up simply by witnessing the love of her better half. People like these give me some serious relationship goals. A happy marriage is indeed a life time of Valentine’s celebration.

Troubled marriage
To them Valentine’s day gives a chance to make some serious make-ups and amendments to their marriage. A great gift and a nice dinner date with each other can go a long way in building some beautiful memories and improving relationship with each other. I would seriously recommend such couples to celebrate with each other on any given occasion. Dedicating time to each other is a must, may be this 14th Feb can help you evolve more as a couple.

Gang of singletons
Birds of a feather flock together. So we also see the single Boys group or Girls group gang up together, these groups go for outings, dinner, give each other yellow roses to celebrate their friendship. I wonder if it is a compulsion for them or indeed this day has found its roots in our culture. Anyways, India has always welcomed all festivals and cultures with open arms and the celebration of this day actually stands as a testimony to that.

Desperate Singles
Do you remember your college days, when some guys would stand with roses in their hands and would ask “Kya aap mujhse friendship karoge”. This is the category of people that makes me cringe. I would recommend their parents to help them do some soul searching and may be help deal with their issues. It is funny but definitely true and I am sure every girl would have witnessed such incidents. 😊

Family celebrations
Again one of my favourites. These folks take the celebration to the next level by celebrating this day with their parents, siblings and complete family. I really feel that we must celebrate all our loved ones and respect the contribution that each one of them have made in making us who we are. Don’t our parents need to be told how much we love them? I am certainly gifting my mother and siblings something good on this Valentine’s day.

Celebrating with Spirituality
This is something that I heard about quite recently and it firmly grabbed my attention. The disciples of the Spiritual Master Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan celebrate this day by expressing their love towards their Guru and towards humanity. And you will be surprised to know the mode of expression. They donate blood, fill in eye donation/body donation forms and do tree plantation. I had heard about such deeds of kindness when I was living in USA. I am quite impressed and very happy to see that such acts of kindness are happening in our country as well. I will also make sure to do at least one such deed to display my love for humanity on this 14th Feb. Well, thank you folks for being an inspiration.

So which category do you belong to? Mention in the comments below and add your own fun categories too. Wish you a very Happy Valentine’s day, may our lives always be filled with the love of our loved ones.
